She looks like she was a really lovely lady, and it's sweet and very nice of you to remember her. I understand you very well, because I know I'll never forget my auntie if she goes away before me.

*hugs*

Thanks. I can't NOT remember her and I'm lucky to have her.

Aww ... she sounds like a real card and reminds me of my Italian great-aunts ... I hope everybody has a person like that in their life.

Happy Birthday Nana Clauds! Sounds like you were a very special person ...

I think I'd rather be someone's grandma or aunt rather than a mom. Oh, wait. I have my very own Cheek Monster.

This was so lovely and you write so well, I felt like I had wandered across a little story out of a book. Your grandma sounds like an amazing woman and I enjoyed reading about her very much. It's not that common to have your life touched by someone so special...I know, because I've only come across that kind of person once in my life (my uncle) and I lost him when I was eleven but still find myself thinking about him sometimes. You were blessed to have enjoyed such a close relationship with such a lady for so long, but you obviously know this already. And it's great to see you keeping her memory alive in such a positive way.

(I have to say that I'm really enjoying getting to know you more, Clauds...)
