I haven't been this tired since... yesterday

Sep 30, 2008 16:08

I'm so listless and devoid of any kind of energy that I locked the door to my office (slow day for others, I worked on a document for five freakin hours!) and simply laid down to rest on the floor for a while, listening to Depeche Mode. Nobody showed up so I might as well go back on the floor and take a nap ( Read more... )

Ugh. I hate days like that. Is it something hormonal?

Yeah. I remember something about losing a lot minerals/iron at this time of the month but I guess my brain is too foggy to remember. Good thing I don't need a brain when I've got google.

You poor thing. Seriously, what are they doing to you. I know how draining translating of technical documents can be so I hear you out. You just feel like there's perfect emptiness in your head. But extremely heavy. I wish I had some new Dr. Jack imagery straight from the depths of my filthy mind to send your way. I'll try to put something together tonight, promise.

Try some of those isotonic drinks, they replenish minerals. I soluble vitamine drinks with coffeine, they really perk you up without the jiterry side effect of coffee. And when you get home take nice hot bath, make yourself a glass of mulled wine and sleep like a baby. :-*

On a side note: does hanging out together in cyberspace equalizes the cycles too? :p

I've just noticed this comment is slightly in the wrong place and there's nothing to be done. Oh, who cares. :)

*Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs* All my ills are cured now. :D

I did get sleep last night actually, I'm just extra fatigued this month, I guess I need a good breakfast and lots of red meat and spinach and stuff. Of course I'm not in the mood to cook, but I have to if I want to get any protein. I actually felt somewhat better after I walked around and out of the office a bit.

We need iron and vitamins and stuff. I'm too lazy, but I think I might actually cook red meat these days.

Hey babe! So sorry you are feeling like this. Are you drained because you've been working so hard or because you started out without recharging your batteries properly? I used to have a real sweet tooth and noticed that cutting out sugar and reaching for proteins instead has really helped curb my energy slumps. But whether that's the case with you or not, I hope you're getting a good breakfast before you start your day. It might help keep you on your feet.

I've been gone so long from this place, I'm not even sure where it is you are working now! We so need to catch up sometime, when you aren't lying on the floor listening to Depeche Mode, poor baby...

*squishes you*

Work hasn't been particularly stressful actually, just a lot of it. I need to eat better and fill up on proteins for womanly issues that's all. Oh and I guess I forgot to mention. I work as a translator/interpreter for a big construction company. I have my own snazzy office now so I can use the floor whichever way I see fit. :)

I plan on doing NOTHING this weekend so let me know if you have time to AIM. I miss pretty Sri Lanka pictures. :)

A translator?! Congrats babe! You must be chuffed. I remember you mentioning how much you loved putting your language skills to use a long while back so I'm happy you found somthing you're so good at.

I'm back in London now so no pretty SL pics till christmas vacation, unfortunately. :-( However, I was thinking of uploading some photos from my best friend's wedding, which was one of those colourful Asian affairs (though much less glitzy than the Indian counterpart), so I might just do that.

Hee. Perfect icon usage. Except big cats aren't tired, they're just lazy and sleep all day long.

I'm getting my period and I guess this month I'm low on minerals and iron and all that. I'm going to fix that with fish and meat and whatnot, caffeine is a bad idea at this time of the month.

Damn the period! Just remember, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger ;)
