STILL NO BABY! I'm getting really impatient and I so want this baby out already. The midwife said that my body is ready for labor, & she's worried about how swollen I am. I think I'm having contractions. I've been trying to figure out since last night if they were real or braxton hicks. I never realized how difficult it is to tell the two apart. So it's looking like I'll have a baby in my arms really soon. My mom thinks that it's going to happen this weekend, so she and my sister are on their way down here right now ( Read more... )

I had another appt today and everything is still looking good. My bp was 126/68 and I gained 1 lb. The baby is still moving good and his heartbeat sounds good. I got checked and the midwife told me that I am 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced. She thinks that I'll have the baby within this week. It's been harder than I thought it would be to be apart from BJ. I thought I could deal with it, at least until I went into labor and my hormones and pain took control of my body. He's gone. I dropped BJ off at the pier this morning. By now I'm sure the ship left. I wanted to see the ship leave, but I would have had to leave and come back and I don't know my way around the base that well and I wouldn't get to see him or anything. BJ and I got another gift. BJ's Aunt Lorraine got us the Pack 'N Play off of our registry, so I guess we don't have to get the used one from Joanne. I didn't expect anyone to buy that for us, since it's $60, but I guess we're just special. BJ's mom said that once the baby is born she'll get us a monitor, instead of clothes. Last night BJ and I finally went on a tour of the hospital facilities. We were supposed to go last Thursday, but BJ got stuck at work and didn't come home until 10pm. So I had to reschedule for yesterday. I found out some of the things that I need to do.
