So the episode happened to fulfill one promise and to break the another.

The episode was better than the previous one for me in a whole bunch of aspects - the plot, the tune and the acting in general.

The beginning was really scary as it used to be just in season one and the case itself turned out to be more interesting with potentials for further developing and it fit into the new situation of spn Universe better.

So the welcome episode of the very welcome season was aired.  First of all it should be said  that I was looking for  it very much, because it really had all the potentials to be really heartbreaking and to become one of my  most favorite episodes in the season and because we were promised some kind of restart in a way of season 1 by the show ( Read more... )

I have different feelings about 5.22 - it was breathtaking, affecting, dramatic, and in  so many aspects interesting, but my attitude towards it varies whether I consider it as only a season finale or the possible ending  of Sam and Dean’s story - the entire show as  Kripke has mentioned.
