Ahhhh...poor Amanda! *Grabs ice water for burns and White-out for the walls*

I appreciated the quick tour through your 'kitchen memory lane'. Except for the Pop-tart incident *Pop-tarts aren't natural, and thus from the devil and hell...thus the fire*, the incidents surround pretty complex foods. I have yet worked myself up to the level of candies, turkeys, or jams. I'm above the Hamburger Helper stage, and I think I have mastered the 'Strict following recipe' stage. I tried once to make a creme/sauce from scratch...3 hours later, the meal was a flop and Julia was seriously hungry/upset...not to mention how I felt! ;)

On a side note, I understand about the hole boiling thing affecting your walls. I don't like watery stuff like Sloppy Joes or spaghetti sauce; and so, I will try and boil off the liquid by cooking the meal without a lid. However, I have found the same problem you found with your jam to be quite true. >:/

Oh well...speaking of food, I'm going to go and make some lunch for me. Hot Pockets...mmmm....processed...
