1. What are you listening to right now?
Boston's "Peace of Mind" in my head.

2. How do you style your hair?
Long, straight, part on the left. Which requires nothing more than a round brush and a blow dryer, thank goodness.

3. What are you wearing right now?
Beige White Stag sweater with silk-ish dress-shirt-style collar, brown pinstripe slacks, brown shoes I need to replace, glasses.

4. What are you currently reading?
A thing called Field of Blood, which I would not finish if I weren't ethically obligated to do so.

5. Dumbest thing you've done this week? ever?
This is a solid tie between "convinced my sister to lock me in a suitcase" and "grabbed the tailpipe of a tractor while it was running".

6. If you could go back in time where would you go?
Shouldn't that be "when"? I'm always amused when I hear things like, "If I had a time machine, I'd go to ancient Rome!" which ignores the part where you have to get to Italy. I guess the assumption is that if you can afford a time machine, you can afford a plane ticket.

I've been thinking about this subject since I was ten, and I still don't have a ready answer--probably because I've had too much time to think about the complications. Not just the grandpa-killing, step-on-a-butterfly type either. I'm female--pick the wrong time and I lose my autonomy, and in a lot of cases I just couldn't get to the events I'd want to see. I only speak modern English, and a period-specific dialect at that. I'm wary of being disillusioned by my heroes.

Oh, what the heck. I want to see dinosaurs.

In related news, I just sold a time-travel-themed drabble to FlashScribe! Life is awesome.

7. Theme song playing in the background as you die?
Given the way I'm likely to off myself by accident, Yakkity Sax.

8. Last thing you bought?
A four-pack of plastic storage bowls, a protractor, a thing of salmon, bread, and applesauce.

9. What is your all time favorite movie?
I guess I never get sick of Princess Bride. There are better movies in most aspects but that one really endures, which is the gist of the question.

10. What is your weirdest habit?
When I muse aloud it is in a British accent. I cannot stop this.

11. What is your favorite color?
It was green for a long time, but I think I've gone over to blues and purples now.

12. How much money do you think you are worth?
Are we talking salary, or slave trade? For the former, I'm way, way overpaid; for the second, I'd be a steal at two mil.

13. What's the weirdest thing you say in Real Life? Do you have a catchphrase?
I say "awesome" more often than I should, and my motto regarding television and film is "No corpse, no cred."

14. Which languages do you wish you spoke?
All of them. Seriously.

15. What is your biggest pet peeve?
Unwarranted rudeness, believe it or not. (I was thinking about this over the weekend because I ran into it at the post office.) Rude people tend to think I'm witty because when they make inappropriate comments I start making them back, and since they think they're being clever and not rude, they think the same of me. Whereas with nice people my conversation tends to be fairly bland.

16 What's your ideal weapon?
That all depends on the target, doesn't it?

17. Who was your childhood idol?
King Arthur would be a fair answer.

18. Funniest movie quote you've ever heard?
This isn't a movie, it's a TV show, but I've seen it three times and every time I just bust up: "I hate milk! It comes from cow wangs!"

19. If you were in a band, what kind of music would you play and what instrument would you want to play?
When I was in the band, we played marching music and I played flute. Then we played concert music and I played oboe.

Actual talent aside, I would love to be the fiddler in a Celtic folk-rock bluegrass fusion band.

20. Tell me something you love about the person who tagged you.
He is perpetually interesting.
