The first flight of semi-finalists performed on Tuesday, May 22.  I'll go through each entry and show you the preview video and the live performance video.  Then I'll discuss why I think they either made it to the finals or didn't.

We caught the very end part of the first semi-finals of Eurovision tonight and I got all excited.  I love Eurovision, it is something magical and fantastic, and I'm sad that it only comes around once a year.

Today was a very good day!  It was probably the most relaxed I've been in...well, at least two weeks, and probably a month.  Just a nice day of hanging out and doing fun things.

So you have to understand how things work with my family and vacations.  We are incapable of just going on a nice family vacation, the kind that other people seem to have, where everything goes well and you leave and come back home with a minimum of fuss and when people ask how your vacation was you say "Great!" instead of "Great! My birthday week/weekend is winding down, and I'm OK with that.  I love having my birthday; I'm not freaking out about getting older, I'm just enjoying getting to see family and all the birthday wishes on Facebook, and when it's over it's kind of nice to settle back into routine.
