Lifetime Goal

I'm told that the house I live in is going on the market soon. They say I won't have to leave before my lease is up, but I figure I won't be able to renew either. My immediate train of thought: "Ooh, if I'm going to make creepy things to hide in the walls, I'd better get on that." Time is short ( Read more... )

You need to put something in the SAFE!! Or hide notes in those weird little cubby-holes in the closets or whatever.

So when will you be looking for a new place? A new, not quite as freaky, somewhere I can stay over without having nightmares place?

Well, eventually. I can't promise it'll be non-freaky though. :)

You need to put something in the SAFE!!

My family left a time capsule in a wall we built in our old house. It hasn't been discovered yet.

The guys my dad roomed with in college (they all lived in a duplex) wrote their names in Greek on the back of a piece of drywall.

But what immediately comes to mind is the Doctor Who episode "Blink". Though it does require hanging wallpaper. (The episode is understandable without backstory, and the plot point that would make a good hoax is in the first five minutes or so.)

Wire up one of these to a large battery pack so it will run a year or more and hide it inside a furnace vent.

Dude, I want to freak them out a little with folk art, not be a huge jerk.

I don't mean set it up to annoy them, make it just loud enough to be heard when it's really quiet.

The one that makes cricket or creaking noises might be a better choice as well.
