Moved to Livejournal from the RFF because I think it would be fun.

In a discussion about Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, DBIII said:

I want to see Book 6 as written by George R. R. Martin...Harry and Ron die in a grisly attack on the train in Chapter 2, and the rest of the story is Hermione learning how to use sex to dominate Snape.I ( Read more... )

Ahahahahaa! Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant (particularly using Christie--that's a touch of genius, that is)! I'm going to have to devote some thought to this... if I can come up with anything you can bet I'll perpetuate it.

Book 6 by John Milton

At the direction of Albus Dumbledore, Hermoine and Harry are married in bliss and various forms of bliss. However, a comment from Draco gives Hermoine the opportunity to become the main figure in the book and she takes it. When Harry does not object to Hermoine's unwonted aggressive role change, Dumbledore is forced to expel them both. Harry rages, Hermoine finds serenity, Hagrid explains meaning of life. Draco changed into house mascot.

Heh...I'm hoping you'll write the Lois McMaster Bujold version--because I can't plot nearly that well!

Book 6 by Robert Jordan

Harry discovers an ancient magical artifact and uses it, taking up the first 100 pages. The remaining 900 pages are taken up by every character even vaguely mentioned before, and some new characters, discovering that this has happened and talking about it. A total of three days pass. JKR announces the series will be 14 books instead of seven.

Book 6 as directed by Hideaki AnnoRon dies in a horrible training accident. Traumatized, Harry retreats to his room and convinces himself he's not worthy to battle Voldemort. Dumbledore reveals a vast underground complex under Hogwarts, dedicated to destroying all of humanity and replacing them with a single magical entity. Voldemort, instead of being the villain, is merely trying to stop this grand design. Snape is murdered, but it is never revealed how or by who. Hermione finds out about the plot and gets killed, but Dumbledore replaces her with a clone from the tank in his basement ( ... )
