Still Waiting

For those of you who have gotten mortgages how long does it usually take the mortgage specialist to get back to you?  I had an e-mail early yesterday morning and have heard nothing since.  When do I start to wonder if I'm being ignored?  Also, did you go through a bank or a mortgage broker?  I don't want a loan from someone sketchy but I'd like to

We went through our bank and there was no waiting period, we were approved right away with the initial conversation (but that said Andrew had held a mortgage from that bank in the past). I think for most people a mortgage broker will get you a better deal but we had some special issues with Andrew being self-employed, but he had been banking with the same branch for a long time and they were familiar with his situation so we went through them.

Now how does a person find a mortgage broker?

I have a friend who is a morgage broker in the interior of BC but she does distance clients too. I can send you her contact info if you want.
