Still Waiting

For those of you who have gotten mortgages how long does it usually take the mortgage specialist to get back to you?  I had an e-mail early yesterday morning and have heard nothing since.  When do I start to wonder if I'm being ignored?  Also, did you go through a bank or a mortgage broker?  I don't want a loan from someone sketchy but I'd like to ( Read more... )

We went through our bank and there was no waiting period, we were approved right away with the initial conversation (but that said Andrew had held a mortgage from that bank in the past). I think for most people a mortgage broker will get you a better deal but we had some special issues with Andrew being self-employed, but he had been banking with the same branch for a long time and they were familiar with his situation so we went through them.

I have a friend who is a morgage broker in the interior of BC but she does distance clients too. I can send you her contact info if you want.
