Two days ago, I noticed a small pile of cranberries on the floor of my room near the giant bag of Craisins trail mix that I have had sitting by my desk for a couple weeks now. For some reason, I just assumed my boyfriend did it. I think I remembered him sitting on the floor eating it at some point this weekend, but I probably made that up. Either

when i was living in NJ, we had field mice in the house every once in a while. my dad set out those glue traps. worst idea. so inhumane. terrible. i watched many a mouse die in the outdoor garbage can while stuck to the glue. :( it was sad. scarred me for life. if you've ever seen a field mouse, you'll know they're fricken adorable. le sad.

no sense in troubling yourself with getting a cat; just release a handful of garden snakes in your house to clear up that problem, a few mongooses to take care of the snakes, and one or two leopards so it's not overrun w/ mongooses. enough of the leopard's natural predator, the poacher, roam the streets of chapel hill that you shouldn't have to worry about a leopard problem.

nah, i'm just kidding. just the mongooses would be fine.
