Rain, rain, rain
We caught the end of Gutav - after it was just a tropical storm again - so it's been lots of rain this week combined with flooding. I know it could have been a lot worse, but I'm still feeling a little pouty that I'm again trapped in the house. Update
I'm in my third trimester now and things seem to be going well (*knock on wood*) and I've discovered that I'm more superstitious than I thought. I keep catching myself doing - or not doing - things and realizing it's all about placating (or avoiding) whatever spirits/fates/etc might be hanging out there just waiting to mess things up for me ( Read more... ) -
Am I Being Too Sensitive?
Am training a new person in the department. Yesterday, handed her a stack of pages stapled together and told her to copy the top page because she’d need the list for future reference. Just noticed that she copied the top page, took out the staple, stapled the photocopy (with photocopied staple clearly visible) to the top of my papers, and kept the ( Read more... ) -

I'm still around. I missed out on the whole 'boycot LJ' thing because I was doing vacation prep. Then I was on vacation. Then I was recovering from vacation.

College Progress
I finished my first college class Monday night, and according to the web site I got an A, so perfect GPA so far. :0)
I also finally got my student ID, which means that in addition to library privileges I can now get into movies cheaper. -
Quick Update
Because we lost the last baby, Hubby and I got to go to the local med school on Friday and have "genetics counseling" which is a truly scary experience. If you ever want to sit in a cold room and have someone recite the statistics of every possible thing that can go wrong, then this is the visit for you ( Read more... )
