I was having trouble relating Jesus' suffering on the Cross and His beautiful Passion to love and joy. However, as of late, I've learned to look at the Crucifix and think of the Person and God that it most certainly represents. I think some people choose to remain in God's love and presence because He is everywhere you can go. He is on the awe-filled face, the joyful smile, the suffering frown and in the happy suffering for that matter, in laughter, etc... God doesn't leave His flock unwatched and uncared for. I was thinking about the similarities of the Lion King and Catholicism. I remember the scene when Rafiki came out, and in a sense, anointed the head of Simba.
