With the term coming to a close, it makes one appreciate when I can just stop and breath for a moment before embarking on the last leg of all that has to be done before it really is over. I've signed the lease for my new place. I really like it, so much better than the place I'm at now, even if it is a lot further away from campus that here. I passed both my japanese classes too, so everything's super spiffy.

I'm spending half my summer learning Japanese. In three weeks we've learned all of hiragana, katakana, and some kanji, introduction, classroom vocab, like/dislike, personal info, some verbs, frequency of actions, numbers, time, possesive particles, food, ordering food, countries, greeting/leave taking, and a variety of other stuff ( Read more... )

One of my classmates fell asleep in class yesterday. The teacher started talking to him and he didn't wake up, so I reached over with my pen and started drawing on his arm. He still didn't wake up, so I kept on drawing. I drew a smiley face out of squares and odd shapes and wrote sleepy head around the image. I stopped for a couple minutes to ( Read more... )

I almost ran over a squirrel on my bike today. I saw it jump up on a rock and then it started running across the path in front of me, I swerved and missed squashing the thing by an inch. Freaked me out, damn rodent.

Another term down, YAAAAAAYY. Been a busy 2 and a half months, but I'm happy with what I got done. I've got a bunch of projects to show for my time, and all becuase I practicly lived in either my hole that is my room, or in the Milrace computer lab.
