That sounds really sweet. If all those sayings are true and Christmas is indeed about a time for love, then I'm sure your wish would be soon granted. :)
Geez...I need to get the heck out of this god-forsaken country. We're drowning in our own lethargic stupidity. You're writing and mental acuity easily match that of my college graduate friends...certainly not those of any 16 yr olds I know ( well...maybe one, but she's certainly not the norm...in fact, I was certain she was older ). Anywho, kudos for being smart =)
Hmm...my Christmas wish. I'm thinking a 4/5 reduction of the human population...based on intellect. Now, I'm not saying they get killed...or even dissapear...more like suddenly they never existed, so no one would miss them. I had a very long conversation last night with my good friend Steve on the topic of human evolution. As it's obvious that the only thing evolving is our cognitive capability, it would seem that those who are smarter are more highly evolved...simply based upon the fact that intelligence is extremely important for creating the technology and the advancements that have led to mankind's expansion and dominance. The only issue is
( ... )
"The net effect is expansion instead of evolution."
Eek, that sounds like a quote from a sagacious professor in college or something, haha. If anyone is smart, you're it, pal.
I won't pretend that I fully comprehend what you've just said, but I think I've gotten the main gist of it. However, enforced evolution sounds almost as difficult as world peace, but do let's see you make things change! I'll be glad to have heard it first, after your friend, Steve.
I haven't seen any of your art, are they up at your site? Lemme take a peek at those and see if they're gallery-worthy, mwahaha. No, just kidding. I graduated from high school (we call them secondary school here) so I'm technically not longer an Art student.. :(
=) Hope you dig the artwork. The ones that got in the most recent show are "Technology Corrupts" and "Untitled 30."
Thanks for the compliment...I've always considered myself smart, and certainly found that like gravitates toward like as far as friends go. It's hard to be chummy with someone who has no idea what you're talking about 9/10 of the time =)
It's sad...I've graduated college, so technically I'm not an art student either. 16 is awfully young for a HS graduate here in the States...usually it's more like 17-18. What age do you start schooling at, and how many grades are there between starting school and graduation?
Hmm, let's see. Our pre-school (or kindergarten, begins for a child at about 5 years old. It last for two years, before one begins Primary School (Middle school there? I don't know, hah.)
In Primary School we have 6 grades, so P1, P2, P3...until P6. (An average primary six student would be 12 years old.)
After that we head to Secondary School where they are 4 grades. Sec 1, 2, 3, and 4. I just finished with my GCES Ordinary Levels, an examination that takes place at the end of your Secondary school education. So, I'm currently 16 and awaiting my results for the GCES (due to be out next March) so as to further my education in either a Junior College or a Polytechnic sometime next year.
...Eek, now drop that befuddled look this instant. :D
The weather sounds dreadful, so I guess I can appreciate the fact that it never snows here and we are lucky if we ever escape summer. Not that we are not freezing at the laughable 40 degrees :P All the people who come here for winter in their shorts and tank tops laugh at us for wandering outside in an outfit meant to survive the winters of Mother Russia :P
Every Christmas I ask for my two front teeth. I have my two front teeth, but it never hurts to secure their place in my mouth with a Christmas wish. So yes... *burts out in song* all I want for Christmas are my two font teeth, my two front teeth, yeah my two front teeth.
Haha, that wish is really something. I've never thought about wishing for security in whatever. Hmmm, looks like I've got new things to add to my money-cant-buy-them Christmas list this year...
Hopefully your weather will improve soon! We've had lots of rain here too and it doesn't help the Christmas-y spirit too mich, lol.
If I could have anything I wanted then I'd ask for several things... for my surgery to positively be successful so I wouldn't have to fear anything when I have it next month, for 2004 to be much better than 2003, and to be able to talk with Jason again soon.
How long have not believed in santa for i haven't believed in him since i 7 :/ Kinda young. Hehehehe..... guess who already has that new compaq laptop :D. I don't think we could be human if there was such a thing as world peace the world would pretty boring with world peace don't you think? If someones happy then theres another person thats not happy sad but true :( or atleast i think.
