it's amazing how you can read quotes like that so many times and they still seem new everytime. you read them and you're like yes! they're right i get it! and you plan to focus on them and live by them. but then they always slip away
I think (though I'm not sure) that the "for every 60 seconds of anger" one was by Emerson. The fact that you're still very much affected by your past is true. But the whole cheesy statement about "no one can make you feel any certain way or make you do anything" also has some validity. Maybe you're not letting yourself let go of your past and grow as a person. (Just a thought)
