Well, I can't say as I'm surprised by the new tos, or people's reactions to it. Me, I'm not going to get upset - for now, anyway. As I understand it, this will affect users in a particular country a lot more than it will US-, UK- or other users ( Read more... )

I'll miss you. I have a Facebook too-- but I write too much for that format to work for me.

I'm not particularly thrilled with it myself (damn site won't work properly half the time for me), but it seems to be where the action is, so... *shrug*

Well, as I understand it, they can take your content and use it any way they like, and that includes for some not-so-nice purposes (read: you're someone they consider "unapproved of" - there is word that their government is already rounding up certain types of people to put into Unpleasant Places. :( ) The latter half will obviously affect people in certain areas much more than us Yanks, but considering how our own has been compromised, it's not much of a stretch to be concerned that it could happen here at some point in the not-terribly distant future as well... :(
