Everything happens for a reason. Only the reason isn't an unknown ultimate future plan. The reason lies in the causes that predict an event. Power comes to us when we find these causes and obtain the means to control them.

Grad school stuff is going extremely well. I am going to visit two of the Rutgers campuses next week, and both of the potential advisors from the schools agreed to meet with me. So, Dr. Garvin passed away two days ago. It's taking me some time to digest it. I never saw him even wince from pain, so all I have of him is an alive and vibrant man with a twinkle in his eye when he said "neuron". I suppose this is better.
