Well, maybe her source of information has knowledge that I don't, but as far as I know, you're right on the information about the picts. As far as I know, they were almost exclusively in scotland, and were amalgamated into the scoti tribes in order to survive the conflict with the romans.

Welsh is a dialect of gaelic... I'm pretty sure that Cornish is too. When I refer to Gaelic, I'm not talking about Irish Gaelic or Scots Gaelic, I'm talking about the encompasing language including all the dialects, of which there are a lot, but most of them are dead now. If I'm refering to a specific dialect, then I mention that.

It seems the Picts WERE in Ireland, though a lot later than they were in Scotland. So, she's not entirely fluffy.
