This is exactly the story I've been hoping for ever since I watched the ep. Just fabulous, the way Rodney was so motivated by John's welfare and John apparently forgot all about rescuing Rodney? That's something I was really hoping for fic to address.

I love the format too, it's a really neat parallel.

Heh. This was really needed because the ending of 'The Hive' was a terribly rushed affair and this interpretation is a great one (the fairy tale meta was effective and fun too!)

Thank you! And I personally don't think the sex was so sudden, remember, there was a meta jump and the time shift is undefined. On purpose.

The suddenness is less about the time shift and more about how John woke Rodney up in the middle of the night. Which feels a little like John's rushing things, and coming off as uhm, rude. But that's just me, so yeah, ignore if you want to.
