Nothing but the best

How many back-issues of a leading chemistry journal go into constructing an exercise program?  It's a question for our times, with as many answers as there are respondents and no answer more correct than another.

My answer is this many:

Thanks! Honestly though, my shopping can often weigh almost as much as that depending on how much milk/beer/fruit juice/combination of the above I buy. The only difference is that there's only one small hill between the supermarket and my flat and I don't usually carry my shopping around for longer than half an hour!

However, I did take your advice into consideration today and elected to do a route that wasn't excessively vertical, though it wasn't completely incline-free either. It undulated pleasingly, in fact, and the weather was beautiful. Unfortunately, I also managed to take a wrong turning so it wasn't as long as I'd intended, but perhaps that's not a bad thing; there's nothing worse than doing too much too soon at the start of an exercise plan. Not to mention that I could feel the acid indigestion lurking again. Nothing like as bad as the time it made me throw up, but just a niggle to let me know that it's biding its time. :/ Time to go back to the Quack for more proton-pump inhibitors, it would seem.

Lol! Charging up an Alp might be viewed as the ultimate point of this exercise. :p Once the evenings get lighter I'll start taking my Angewandtes up to the castles behind my flat after work too - it's a bit steeper than what I did today. However, the other thing I learned today is that my cheap-ass Mountain Life rucksack is really, REALLY uncomfortable when filled with journals. I have three Deep-Heat-esque patches slathered over my left shoulder and it's still a frozen, painful mess of knotted nerves. :( There may have to be Ibuprofen before bedtime if I'm to sleep tonight. OTOH, my new hiking boots are lovely and behaved extremely well - though this is in part due to the guy in the shop showing me how to lace them up properly ( ... )
