Clearly, whistles belong to the category of small objects that cannot be purchased with actual money. Instead, to obtain them you must wait for them to spawn in a neglected corner of the house. Frustration
Went on my Sunday afternoon wander today. It was good in many ways and frustrating in a few others. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and I ended up walking along and chatting to an older couple for part of the way. How do you know you've been doing a job for too long? When you see only the surname of a researcher in a book reference and your brain automatically brings up the correct first name so that you can fill in his initals in the reference.
(I did double-check just in case, but I was right.) -
New Year Ponderings
I hate resolutions, so I never make any. This allows me to neatly avoid the crushing disappointment that happens when I inevitably break them.

The bestest feeling in the world is being asked for ID to buy alcohol in the year that you turned 30!!! Thank you, nameless Kaufhof cashier lady, I think you just made my year! :D
Today was also pretty productive in terms of Christmas present purchasing - I think I'm just about done here. WOOOOO!
