Mini rant

lol, I havent ranted on here so here I go...

let me start it off with what happened a few minutes ago. I was walking down stairs to where my little cousin was fixing dinner. I said to her that the food looks greasy and then she got all upset at that remark and said that "African american food" (shes so ignorant) is unhealthy like she was comparing

Family can be crazy. I'm African and American. My father is from America and my mother is West African. She was born in Angola ,but she's Cape Verdian. Where's your family from?

Yeah they can be, they are from Eritrea in east africa. My dad is from there too and they used to live in the capital there. So everyone from my dads side is from africa. I always felt left out when they do all of the cultural things and speak to each other in the langauge becuase I dont know it. I guess thats just the way it goes becuase I always lived with my mom and my stepdad.

Its nice to know I have some things in common with people on lj, :D
