A friend, who was dying, took advantage of Oregon's Death with Dignity law and died today. I envy him.

Cheery title, what? Got a call from an old friend who is taking advantage of Oregon's Death with Dignity law and will die on Wednesday, November 5. He is dying of liver and heart failure and has two months at the most and wants to go with his dignity and his mind intact. The COVID itself was just a chest cold and not even a really bad one. It is still lingering. The way it knocked my potassium down is the problem. I had an infusion one day -- two hours snoozing in a comfy chair -- and am taking HUGE pills twice a day that I have to split in half to get down and I take pills with no problem. 72 mph wind gusts Saturday. Lost power at 7:15 p.m. Came back at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Good bye contents of frig and freezer.
