A year plus worth of updates in a few sentences:

I've finally graduated. OR AS THEY SAY, I'VE COMMENCED.

I'm jobless... but not for much longer.

I've also discovered that lounging at home is actually really tiring. No, seriously. I'm so exhausted every day.

And is anyone here on tumblr? I find myself lurking there more often these days.

I've been wanting to try Santouka Ramen for some time, so when my dad asked me where I wanted to go for dinner on Friday, I immediately suggested Santouka, since Clarke Quay is also a convenient place for us to meet after work ( Read more... )

Last night, I had dinner/supper at Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant, and the dimsum was delicious! Even with my recent loss of appetite (if I eat too quickly or too much, I get the urge to throw up), I really enjoyed the dimsum there. About a week ago, the department I'm currently interning at had a mini book give-away session, because the books they were looking to clear were apparently so old that even the National Library didn't want them, and they would be thrown away if the interns didn't want them. Today was a family day of sorts, which is really rare nowadays since I enjoy sleeping in during weekends. Finally, I got to try the much raved-about ramen at Ippudo. My sister came back one afternoon gushing about how delicious it was and how the meat literally melted in your mouth. How could I possibly not try it after that?

We did have to queue for more than half an hour, but that was to be expected, given that it was a Saturday night after all.

The interns went for the preview of the Navy Open House on Thursday, and although the sun was shining a bit too brightly and it was about as hot as hell at Changi, it was a nice change from having to working in the office ( Read more... )

So, I started my internship this past Monday and though at times it's been desperately boring, there have been good times, mostly involving tea breaks, lunch times and the "woohoo! pang kang!" times. :)
