Ever since Patrick got out of boot camp, and then got out of combat training in North Carolina, he has been stationed down on the Naval Air base in Pensacola, FL. Only being 4 hours away from home has been a huge blessing for us. For the past year and a half of his Marine Corps enlistment, he has been able to come home at least once a month, ( Read more... )

Interesting story for the day.  Today, while in my nursing learning lab, we were doing rotations learning about various injections,  IV pumps, ampules, injection sites...all that good needle stuff.  Well, somehow around about the 2nd rotation, I started getting really dizzy and light-headed, and I was in my group listening to the instructor ( Read more... )

I keep thinking maybe each week is going to get a little bit easier, but I keep being proven wrong. Nursing school is just hard.  Period.  No matter who you are.  I've learned to accept that I may not get many A's this semester, and that's probably just going to have to be OK. Well, I can definitely say this semester has proven to be the toughest I've had yet, and we're only on week 2. Ouch. Basically, I have a test on any given week of the semester, most of the time as many as 3 EACH WEEK! That means, so far we have been in class for 10 days, and I've had 5 test/quizes already.
