Just a word of advice - unless you have endless stores of patience and a willingness to be disappointed, don't offer for a short sale property.  I am still holding onto a slim thread of hope, but am also actively searching for greener pastures.  I shall let you know how that goes.

This weekend was a real disappointment, in many ways.  I had big plans to go into the city at least once to see friends and celebrate life, bt when the time came I was paralysed by melancholy.  I think in general I am better than I was but I still find myself caught by surprise on occasion and am unsure as to whether that is what normal life is ( Read more... )

My sister got married this weekend.  She will be graduating today with her Masters.

Thank goodness my life is less exciting.  =)

A very enjoyable weekend - I wasn't working, which does help with scheduling and so I cooked.  Cheesecake, as the carrot cake was about finished off, macaroni and cheese (and let me tell you, Dubliner really doesn't stand up well to bechamel) and goulash with smoked paprika.  Oh, and of course pumpkin bread - one load for home, one for my work, the ( Read more... )

I just got back from introducing my mother to thrift store shopping - she was thrilled at how much she got for so little.  =)  I really must get turkeytuchus  and hellotransience to come and visit so that they can see the wonders....

Ah, the joys of spring.  The tiny green sprouts poking through the loam, the lovely little birds frolicking, the budding of the apple tree.

And then - the sneeze, the itch - yep, spring is here, time to get out the drugs!

Somehow I don't think that my boss knows the phrase "Don't tell your grandmother how to suck eggs."

Inflicitng bodily harm will unfortunately lead to getting fired.....

So, I've plans.  Rather good ones, I think.
