You were right, the first reaction was to tell you you're out of your mind. It does sound like you balanced you options though. Questions? Yup. The jobs in the 'Gilded' Triangle - Are they full time positions, as in not the year-to-year contract/temp type jobs? Are you arriving to this decision through any familial influence? (Family comes first. You know I know that and agree, but I just want to make sure that you know that it doesn't always mean its best for you personally, it just means it might be best for the family.) Third and final real question I have for now, Would you want / take a job that pays more, ie $18-20. You are at this point qualified as having 2-3 years experience as an office support specialist. I can inquire at CPL (the lab i work at) and see what they have. With the economy in Orange, if you can maintain status quo in pay - you'll be doing well above the market price for the area in most respects. You also be in Orange. Oh and btw, if your just after a 'Going Away Stripper' Party, we'll throw you one just to
( ... )
Question 1: Yes, they are in the Triangle, no they are not contract. They are direct hire, full time, and i know one of them has benefits.
Question 2: This is not because my family wants me back home. Its because by doing this I can eliminate half of my bills and save 200-300/month instead of the current 70.
Question 3: That would be nice, but what Im planning here will benefit me more in the future than the now. Basically Im going to be putting away money so that if I am out of a job for months at a time, nothing changes.
Fun Question: No, thats not what Im looking for. And also, I WILL be here for Sam's I'm already planning to have money for that and to drive up that weekend.
I appreciate you asking those questions as I didnt think of them when I was writing this down. So yeah, its more about being financially secure in the future. I love Austin and I do plan on moving back someday but right now I need financial stability and money in the bank.
