So there is an election coming up in our fine Purple Nation district and since the current board members are not running for re-election and the whole school closings has created such reaction among the citizens that I have decided to run for a spot myself. I feel as though there is a possible solution to the whole school closings that the school

I think we all realize that this is an issue that requires compromise, and that no one is going to come out of this completely satisfied. We all need to work together, with the budget that we have, to come up with a balanced budget, and the best possible education for our children, period. If there is a way we can accomplish these two goals while saving some schools in the south, then that is what we must do. My interest is in the best education for our children, a balanced budget, and a civilized Purple Nation. I believe I can help with these issues, and that is why I am running for school Board membership.

I'm not saying that you wont be able to change anything but I doubt that you will. As a previous member, all 7 of us already tried to create a way where we wouldn't have to close schools but it is very difficult. So my point is that if all 7 of us couldn't then I feel as though you might not be able to either. If you can, then more power to you. Good luck with the election.
