So perhaps, yes. Perhaps the phantoms I call friends do as well reside alongside the bustle and business of the city. Perhaps the ancestors have even found their places amidst the steel and concrete jungles of urbana.

i am so proud of you and so filled with joy. i think you can find holy places everywhere-some are just a bit more hidden-but perhaps that makes them all the more holy when you do find them.

i still, after 5 years away from athens and the surrounding areas, feel it call to me in a way that no other place has. there are times when i am driving that i feel an ache-like the rolling hills are trying to pull me back.

i honestly still believe, one day, we will all be back there together.

i will be thinking about you, josh, and athena this weekend :)

I often go through these same emotions. I think you and I had a very similar appreciation for the hills, the trees, the wind, the stillness, the very spirit of appalachian Ohio. I always feel this sense of being out of place. Southeastern Ohio calls to me in a way that no other place ever has, and I fear, ever will
