I have a place to live

Sep 27, 2008 17:02

It's a little bungalow with three bedrooms. The rent is pretty high, but I'm hoping to find a roommate.

One problem is that they can't have the place ready by the 1st, so I have to figure something out for the interim.

Sounds like a nice place; good luck with the roommate. How long an "interim" do you need?

Mostly, VERY glad to hear you've found a place to live.

Yeah. It even has a yard and grass. I don't like the fact that it has grass, since I live in a desert, but it's a nice little house.

Come visit! I'll have room for all 5 of you. :)

Yay, that's great! hauntmeister September 28 2008, 11:21:03 UTC
And I know the roommate-finding process can be a pain, but at least you're the one in control this time. Maybe, for example, declaring the house vegetarian would make it especially likely you find a roommate you mesh well with?

Yeah, we're in the same boat for moving. If everything goes perfectly we have to be out on the 31st, and can't move in to the new place till the 4th. We'll be homeless in between. Grr.

Thanks! We may need it. But right now things have gone back and forth so fast my head is spinning. The seller's mother is dying and so he's not being entirely rational about a lot of things. As things look (for the moment) we will close with them on the 4th (as opposed to the 15th) but their stuff will, basically, still occupy the entire ground floor of the house till the 15th of December. Gah!
