for my tenure of college i have been a mass com. major, journalism major, psychology major, theologian major, philosophy major and an english major.

i think it's totally normal.

Now i'm a english/philosophy major and am very happy.
the reason why i settled down with this is because english encompasses everything i enjoy: theater, art, history, literature, psychology, music along with many others.

you just gotta find what you love...or become a professional student, i looked into that as well but the pay sucks.

hope this helps

That's totally typical of freshmen. And sophomores. And people, really.
I figured out what I want to do because I eliminated all the things I definitely don't want to do. It kind of scares me that I'm choosing my life path the same way I decide whether I want Taco Bell, Burker King, or Arby's...but then I realized that life is all about taking chances and making mistakes and learning. And, honestly, there's no real pressure to declare a major until after your sophomore year. (They don't tell you this during orientation, but academics are a secondary part of the curriculum in one's freshman year of college.)

note: If I could major in piracy, I would fill out the paperwork TODAY. I would double minor in timber shivering and rum consumption.

Im am the first to be majoring in said pirating, hence my initial thought of it. But I have a double minor in peg leg making and batoning down the hatches. Rum consumption is just one of the benefits. Also, you get free parrots and eye patches for life. AWESOME!

Hey girl!
I'm a psych major right now. And i know that's not what i want to do. Auburn has a career test you can take to help you figure out what you would be stronger in and what you would weaker in. Maybe montevallo has one?? I'm thinking about nursing maybe, but you don't get a degree with that...so we'll see. I'm sure whatever you do you'll be great at!
