Shopped until I was broke all day Monday with muffintop, shopped so hard that we didnt even have a chance to make it to Discovery Mills, which I'm told is great ( Read more... )

That admirable that you are volunteering there. I got my cat from the AHS 9 years ago, and she's still purring strong! She almost didn't make the cut-off, but I got her in time.

Another option I thought I'd pass along: we need volunteers at the Midtown Petsmart Cat Adoption Center where I volunteer each week. Duties are simple: clean cages and talk with the customers about cat adoptions. None of the animals that come in there are ever put down (unless there is a medical emergency, obviously) and that helps me deal with it a lot. Also, you get to see the turnover rate and know you're making a huge difference. Just a thought. :)

No dogs though?
It sounds like a great program, I have always appreciated the community support Pets Mart provides.
I'm alergic to kitties though so I dont think I could work that closely with them.
I wish euthanisim was never necessary, hopfully someday it wont be :)

The adoption center is run by Southern Hope Humane Society, which does adopt out dogs on the weekends, just as an fyi...

Discovery Mills is a shopping mall kind of place up somewhere between Gwinette Mall and Mall of GA.

When are you DJing at Flux?
I've been wanting to check it out but I'm working doubles on Wednesday's now.
But I thought I'd take the closing shift off to come see you when you spin.

My schedule at the Ho currently is:
Wednesdays 6pm - 3am
Thursdays 8pm - 3am
Sundays 7pm - 12am

But on the 31st I'll be getting off at 11pm so I can come check out Flux and hear my old DJ pal (still my Atl fav) spin.
Heh, I still have your Xmas gift too.
It had candy in it so I hope it's still okay.
