I was thinking I'd go to the Riv around Mindnight and leave for The Mark when my flasks are empty which should be around 1:30.
I'm bringing 2, which should hold about 4 shots.

I volunteered there for a summer. I had to quit when they wouldn't let me take any more cats home. (2 is apparently their limit) It made me so sad to know how many they put down every month, and to watch those poor animals just sit in their cages all day.
Wayne tried to volunteer to walk the dogs, but they apparently have some really stupid heirarchy system, so he was cleaning cages while the sheet on the wall showed that some of the dogs hadn't been taken out in a week.
That place just makes me mad.

They actually have a limit as to how many animals you can adopt?
Well, I guess that makes some sense.

I know I'll have to do some dirty work at first but, I hope I can work my way up to dog walker quickly.
I'd rather spend my time there actually working with the animals.
That shit would kinda piss me off too.
I will try to take my time cleaning though so I can spend a little time with the extra sad ones.
I was thinking about bringing a box of dog treats, I wonder if they'd allow that?

I don't see why not... I took them some blankets and stuff for cages a few weeks ago.

Don't stop the tears, you just have a good heart. It is very comforting for others and the animals to see someone truly caring. Don't think that you've not saved all of them, because in some way you have made a home for them in your heart. And isn't that what matters?

I think everyone should adopt pets from shelters and rescues and such as apposed to pet stores and puppy mills.
There are too many unwanted (god I hate that word) furries out there already to keep breading more.
And the Humane Society spays and neuters all the pets adopted to help with the population problem.
I'm really glad they've started the chip implanting thing too so if a stray, lost or dead dog is picked up, they can automatically find out who the owner is.
I've only ever lost one pet, but it was a dog that I loved very much and I never found him and it still kills me to this day not knowing what ever happened to him.
