I totally understand what you mean. I find it rather easy to understand...there is some goodness in (most) all people...but it might be buried under a shitheap. Animals don't plot, or weave a tangle'd web by practicing chicanary or just generally try to fark you out of something to be able to say they did it. They are a lot more honest than most people, and that's sad since " honesty" isn't a value that animals value....they just have it....its as much a part of them as fur and fangs.
anyway, don't feel like you are alone in these thoughts....i've amazed myself many times (Yes, i know that's prolly not as hard as it sounds) by thinking the exact same thing.

Humans are naturally pieces of shit. I rarely get sad when hearing bad news regarding them.
Animals however, specially our precious pets, are nothing but love. Your current state is totally understandable.

Sorry to hear about the cat and your friend's ferret, it makes me miss my kitty. After hearing about that, and the incident with James and the snake, and my fight with a dog I think the animals are turning on us. Pre-apocalypse or something..........
