too stupid to cheat

So this afternoon, I gave one of my classes a quiz. Students were allowed to use notes and old assignments as an aid to the quiz. One student got up to sharpen his pencil. At that point another student swiped his quiz and started madly copying answers. Sadly, she was copying the wrong answers because she swiped an old assignment instead.

What happened to "the good old days" when cheating meant Roman eyes and Russian fingers, and the source from which you were copying, remained stealthily lying in place on the other person's desk?
