"List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. ( this is a very specific, exam relaxation play-list, so all the songs are a little less hard work than what I usually listen to )

God, The Universal. That's possibly my favourite Blur song (speaking as someone who was never really into Blur).

And Positively Fourth Street. Unlike a lot of the lyrics which I can apply to others but not myself, 'With the one who tries to hide what he don't know to begin with' cuts me very deeply. I can never decide if there's any compassion at all in that song or if it's purely sneering - I keep changing my mind.

The Universal absolutely is my favourite Blur song, it is so much deeper and better lyricicised (real word, I swear!!!!) than their proper rock or their 'quirky and satirical tm' stuff (though their will always be a special place in my heart for both Tracy Jacks and End of the Century ( ... )
