I agree- I really didn't like the epilogue, and it definitely wasn't up to JK's standard of writing. However. I'm happy she included it. I needed everything to be wrapped up nicely like that. It was very over-the-top, with all the children named after someone, and very contrived, but being as involved with these characters as I was, if she hadn't given some explanation of how their lives had turned out I would have been very disappointed.
Aggggh I wish I hadn't read the epilogue. I will post my thoughts as well, but I did think it was good, but a tad too predictable and I thought the second half, not the first half, was soooo LOtR. Well, maybe both halves.
