Travelling for me has imbued me with an unquenchable sense of adventure. An old flame emailed me today asking me to go to South America with her in May if only for a month or so. The sensible side of me says that's out of the question! No way Mark, you don't even have a job right now, even if you did, you'd then have to leave it after a month or so ( Read more... )

yeah I would love to see the different landscapes and architecture. I feel like I've seen plenty of cultures though. I can hear Indians talk and laugh any time I want and same for Middle Eastern people and a score of others around Australia. Food is a different matter, I want to eat everything there is to eat :) I'd travel for food and landscapes :) Maybe my sense of adventure will come when I've actually been to a few exotic places.

oh wow, thank you so much! a couple of people at work also highly recommended rio and salvador. salvador is the north where the food is spicy and incorporates lots of seafood, right? :-9

i don't think we'll be going hiking and stuff, i'm not really a bushwalking (err, jungletumbling?) type of person.

so, is san telmo an area in rio? i'll google christ the redeemer and sugarloaf mtn.

sao paulo is understandably boring, but it's the starting point of our trip as it's where the event we'll be attending is held.

thanks again for the info, this sure will help getting me started in planning my destination.

btw, i'm glad you're not feeling anxious anymore.
