I blame Dan Savage:

He says we can make our own merch, so I did.

I thought that using an arabic/sanskrit-oid like font would be a nice touch. Lemme know if you like it. I'm working on a button design right now.

EDIT: I don't wish to discuss the politics behind this. I just try to make stuff people'll buy. ( Read more... )

Beautiful and topical.

I really dig the style! I'd also like to point out that it's my birthday soon... *smile*

Did you write up all the bits about Dan Savage?

Thanks! No, I didn't write them up (the link that "Dan Savage" went to is a site of his, not mine).

Okay... not trying to get into a fight or anything, just trying to "strengthen already strong opinions." Why should we impeach him?

I should've mentioned that I made this merchandise primarily for financial profit - he's a popular advice columnist with a following that might be interested in and purchase this type of stuff. A number of people on my friends list aren't particularly fond of the president and might also be interested in it.

I haven't any really well formed opinions on why we should or should not impeach the president. I'm not exactly fond of him, and might discuss it with you to my limited knowledge elsewhere, but I'd prefer not to take this post to political discussion.

You're right, the font is a nice touch.... soon as I manage gainful employment in this city, I'm going to buy some of your stuff... it's just darn pretty :)

I saw this worn by someone at cryptosporidosi's dance concert. I loved it.

It was amusing, because I tried reading it as Devanagari for several minutes (that's how weak my knowledge is) before it was explained to me.

Interesting how Dan Savage has gotten religion about this. I remember him being the lone voice in the progressive press in favor of the Iraq war; I was pretty disappointed, though his arguments were far more cogent than most.

Woot! I'm glad to hear that people wear em.

I'm generally politically inept, and still a fairly recent convert to reading his column, so I wasn't aware that he ever favored it. Funny how years of ongoing war with little progress can change your opinion. ;)
