Is it an inevitability of 21st century life to become instantly obsessed with a macro lens once one realizes its capabilities? I just bought a digital camera (Canon Powershot A590, for the curious) and cannot stop taking pictures of, like, pistils and stamens and all that. Maybe someday soon the pleasure of domesticity will wear off.
