hey i'm not gonna play anonymous games or anything... actually i am... five bucks to whoever guesses the writer and the object of the song. here goes.

so when i give up the fight against the rain and depression i might ignore myself and remain silent, giving of the impression that everything is just fine, except for this nagging disquiet, i'll be alright.
