Where was this? Uni kids?

MS has a retro game enthusiasts group, the serious kind that sets up working vectrex and famicom and virtual boy systems and talks about how their collection is 99% complete but the one guy on ebay with the one copy of the terrible game they need won't let it go for less than $600.
Anyway, one of the things they liked to do was watch old demos on working hardware, like ancient amiga and C64 things.

This happened at the Seattle office of Frog Design. They're a good audience for it, focused as they are on inventing the immediate future. (That is, the future that we already have all the stuff to make, but just have to realize it. Demoish, eh?)

I had to omit vast swaths of the demoscene out of necessity, so I barely covered oldschool. It came up in the Q&A, though!
