Heh. Actually did fairly well with phone calls. The Incapacity Benefit person was helpful. The first Jobseekers Allowance person wasn't but thankfully the second actually knew what to do in this situation.

So I guess all but two of them are utter bastards :p

I failed mine before but decided not to go ahead with the appeal. I wish I had as two other people I know passed their appeals and I ended up back on IS anyway due to depression partly due to stress. The CAB are v good at helping with stuff like this.

Yeah it's stupid. I didn't appeal last time this happened, luckily my doctor was ok with writing a new sicknote with a slightly different description of my condition on it, which got me back on. I don't know how they expect people with anxiety (or depression) problems to get any better when they put them through this crap repeatedly... Wouldn't be so bad if you were at least assessed by a psychiatrist rather than a clueless normal doctor. >.<

After surgery I'll be able to claim incapacity again anyway until I'm healed, so things won't be too bad... It's just really bad timing as I'm going to be away for at least two weeks and not be able to deal with anything.
