Camote - さつまいも

The other day I had a sweet potato. They sell them in the street in some hod dog like cars you see now and then especially during the autumn - winter. The put condensed milk and cinnamon over it and it tastes good.

I love sweet potato! My mom doesn't do condensed milk, she does butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and then marshmallows on top. She makes them in a glass dish in the oven, and the marshmallows get nice and toasted.

She either serves that by itself, or uses them as a filling for empanadas (leaving the marshmallows out). :D

ohh, empanadas sounds like a good idea!
i think the marshmallows are a little odd tho, haha, who knows.

It's a great filling for empanadas! My mom does that kind, and regular potato with cheese. She usually does sweet potato, though.

Here in Cln you can also find "cars" selling さつまいも, tho they're rare. However, the other day I went to Mocorito, there you can find them easily, it seems they come to the Plazuela towards the nightfall(田舎の町田だと 人が 集まる場所なの

yeah they had bananas as well, i was tempted to try one instead.
these were brownish red outside and orange inside.
I agree you should have posted about it
