tonight roomie, a neighbor, and i put up flyers for our school's "outdoor program," which roomie has just created. i went along because i knew it would offer me a cross-section of campus that i'd never had before, and lordy, it did. all the buildings where people gather, the buildings that secretly torture me with my cold alienation ( Read more... )

and i'm always reminded of it, too - it just never works the way i want it - when i'm among the poets or my roommates i think "well here i am, i'm AMONG people" - but of course it has nothing of the pornographic thrill of watching from the outside... and that is what all my writing of the past year or so has felt like...
