Sam put the bow down on the table when the phone rang. Maybe Mary and her lamb were a little too advanced and she needed to start with just plain notes.

"Carter," she answered, balancing the phone against her shoulder as she shook out her hand.

"Hello?" She checked the caller ID. Nothing. Great. "If you're going to breathe heavy, it needs to be into the phone. Plus, two more seconds and the Feds will have a trace on the line. Go you."

No, she didn't know it was Jack. She just treated all obscene callers this way.
