There was an assortment of bumps and crashes as Sam dragged her luggage through the doorway, room key in her teeth as she muttered under her breath about stupid keys and inadequate security, then she stopped in the doorway when she spotted a naked man facedown on the bed. Then she realized that she recognized that naked rear end and she couldn't help the grin that broke over her face.

Setting her luggage and key aside, she sat down on the bed next to Jack and brushed his hair back softly, not sure if she should wake him, but very pleased with her gift basket, all things considered.

Anyone but Sam, and he'd have been on his feet at the first crash, but some part of him always knew when it was her. So instead of a naked Jack leaping out of bed she got a naked Jack slowly opening his eyes to grin at her. "Hey, Sam."

Jack didn't answer. He was too busy sliding one hand into her hair, pressing up to kiss her deeply, his other hand sneaking around to flatten against her back.
