Jack's apartment in Rome: Late, late Saturday night

Jack was grumpy, or he would have been if he'd been awake. He'd been grumpy before he'd fallen asleep, so it was logical to assume it hadn't gone away.

The grumpiness would be because he was all alone in his rather large bed.

This was not at all what he'd planned.

Cedric wasn't much for creeping. And that was probably due to not being very good at it but still, here he was, creeping.

Trying to, at least.

It was probably just as well that Cedric wasn't very good at it. Creeping up on Jack wasn't the best idea.

However, doing it badly just woke him up, and he quietly rolled onto his back, just able to see the figure in the darkness of the room. He didn't say anything, though, just watched. And smiled.

"Stop smiling so smugly," Cedric said. No, he couldn't see anything but the movement. But, it was Jack and he knew Jack.

"Me? Smug?" His smile got even smugger and he stretched out a hand towards Cedric. "Never."
