I worked another holiday season at Something Silver, this time at the Pioneer Place location. I definitely liked working downtown a lot better than at Washington Square. Sometimes it seems like we primarily use lj to report bad news, but it seems like an efficient way to do it. My aunt Carol's boyfriend Jim ("Uncle Jim") passed away yesterday morning. He has had a bad heart for quite some time, so we've been expecting it, it just seemed so sudden. I guess I figured he'd be in the hospital for a few days first. ( Read more... )

So I found out today that I did not get the Summer internship at Bonhams & Butterfields, however, I am still being considered for the Fall. This is good and bad news. I'm relieved that I can go on the roadtrip with Dan without having to simultaneously move to San Francisco.
